Start your tour in the morning hours and enjoy a drive through the scenic landscape of Istria’s hills and valleys. Here, in acient roman town Poreč, you’ll explore the interior of Euphrasian Basilica protected by UNESCO as world cultural heritage. Golden shimmering byzantine mozaics from the 7th century will blow your mind and expose to you very unique examples of western-world art forms.
Afterwards you’re having lunch at an organic istrian farm where tomatoes still taste like tomatoes and where truffles grow behind every corner. Did we mention that wine is included, too? Try a wide variety of truffle products at the truffle tasting in Motovun. Walk upon the mighty city walls and admire the dramatic view on all the mountains, vineyards and rivers of Istria.
In the last part of the tour you’ll be taken to a place that keeps some old slavic secrets. Hum, the smallest town in the world, was built in the 12th century and was the cultural and educational centre of the old slavic script called “Glagolitic Script”. The myths of the slavic monks will throw you back into the slavic middle ages among stone houses and and tiny chapels. Return to your accommodation is in the late afternoon/early evening.
