Lisbon Evening Food Walk

When to book - availability
Highlights
- Experience a special neighbourhood of Lisbon that heavenly exists away from the more usual tourist hotspots
- Taste fish, meat, wine and cheese amongst other delicacies
Lisbon is known around the world for its natural light, the way the sun shines onto the terracotta roofs, white walls and reflects off the Tejo river. Twilight is one of the most beautiful times to appreciate Portugal’s capital privileged position at the western edge of Europe. This is the time our walk begins, enjoying a traditional aperitif overlooking the beautiful Tejo river.
After a detour via our top gourmet restaurant and two snacks that showcase the influence of Portuguese gastronomy across the world, we head to the neighbourhood of Madragoa to indulge in a range of “petiscos” (where the Spanish got their idea for tapas from…). Here, we sample exquisite Portuguese cheese and cured meets. We end in a chilled out “tasca” to eat the quintessential Portuguese “arroz de marisco” (seafood rice) with a taste of selected wines from the Alentejo region. You will be in an area with plenty of night spots where you can continue to explore Lisbon’s light by night!
The walk is conducted at an easy pace with lots of stops, making it suitable for Lisbon lovers of all ages (discount prices for children available). We can accommodate some food sensitivities, but bear in mind that Portuguese food is not vegetarian friendly and features meat, fish and dairy. Gluten-free can be accommodated on request.
