REGIONAL OVERVIEW
Soil
On the Massif des Maures vineyards are grown on a soil mixed with shale, granite, sandstone and some limestone.
Climate
The climate here is generally warm in both summer and winter. Dry conditions can be a problem for the vines.
Reds: Depending on the variety, soil, climate, and on whether the winemaker prefers producing young wines or wines with aging potential, the red’s broad range allows one to discover soft scents of red berries and flowers to generous, velvety, deep reds made for aging several months in oak barrels or casks.
Rosés: The color is pale pink, so characteristic of Côtes de Provence. Its aromatic complexity has notes of fresh tropical fruit, floral notes but also spices and herbs. In the mouth, rosé wines have a nice tart balance that combines freshness and roundness.
Whites: Traditionally « blanc de blanc » (fermented only from white grapes), offering a beautiful pale, gold color with green reflections. Their taste characteristics are based on a delicate balance between freshness and flavor rendering a beautiful harmony.
