Barcelona is synonymous with sunshine, tapas and drinks, and yet few travelers uncover its amazing beer scene. Barcelona Eat Local Beer and Tapas Tour begins at a Brew Pub inside Palau del Mar, a former industrial building, and winds its way through La Barceloneta charming streets where a beer revolution is taking place and where for generations amazing tapas have been crafted. Along the way, you’ll learn about brews, taste old and new beers, and pair them with iconic tapas that truly bring out the flavors and aromas of each glass of beer. You’ll also uncover the history of an eclectic neighborhood and its relation to the sea and the city, and get the insights plus funny stories from your personal tour guide.
The Barcelona Beer and Tapas Tour is a 1 kilometer (0.6 miles) walking & drinking tour through the Barceloneta District and include 4 stops for beer and tapas. Each eatery is unique in relation to brews and tapas, and some are new while others have been brewing for generations. A total of 7 different beers are carefully tasted, and paired to a delicious tapa. The tour also includes tasting the most emblematic Barcelona food: La Bomba. We drink the equivalent of 2 pints of beer or 1000 ml. Not enough to get you drunk, but definitely a little bit whirred!
We’re also delighted to have partnered with international beer sommelier and award winner Jing Chen on the creation of this unique beer and tapas tasting tour. When it comes to brews and its pairs, there is no-one like Jing in Spain – so we teamed up with her for this Barcelona beer tasting that includes the most essential local beers and the most authentic local gastronomy for our Beers and Tapas tour at La Barceloneta.
